ITEM:  CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS - 35-39 Cricket Avenue, Ardmore, Ardmore Historic District, 19-12

Consider for recommendation to the Board of Commissioners approval to install identical signage on two storefronts and to install a garage door at the rear of 39 Cricket Avenue.

 

On September 10, 2019, the HARB recommended approval of the proposed front facade alterations, citing Secretary of the Interior’s Standards 2 and 9, with the following conditions:

 

a) The signage of 39 Cricket Avenue is removed from the application;

 

b) The glass door of 39 Cricket Avenue shall be painted on the inside up to the height of the brick facade;

 

c) The door and window frames shall be painted to match the facade;

 

d) A subcommittee will evaluate any security cameras and new lighting fixtures to be installed when information on each of these items is provided by the applicant.

 

The rear alterations were recommended for approval as submitted.
