Consider for recommendation to the Board of Commissioners award of a contract for Purchase and Delivery of #2 Fuel Oil for the Montgomery County Consortium of Communities to the following low bidder in accordance with bids received on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. prevailing time and the recommendation of the Chief Financial Officer with the approval of the Director of Public Works:

Please note this purchase is being conducted on behalf of the Montgomery County Consortium of Communities.  Fourteen (14) municipalities are participating in this bid.  The Township no longer uses fuel oil at any of its facilities.  This bid commodity price is tied to an index posted daily price (Journal of Commerce Oil Price Daily for Philadelphia for No. 2 Fuel Oil).  The posted price is added to the vendors fixed differential bid amount.  The 2019 bid result includes a posted price $2.13/gal plus the fixed delivery bid $0.16/gal or total per gallon bid price of $2.29 which is 6.4% lower than the 2018 total per gallon bid price of $2.45.
