Consider for recommendation to the Board of Commissioners award of a contract for Galvanized Steel Powder Coated and Stainless Steel Traffic Poles (No Installation) to the following low bidder in accordance with bids received on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. prevailing time and the recommendation of the Chief Financial Officer with the approval of the Director of Public Works

This is an annual contract, which contains estimated quantities; actual amounts purchased will vary, depending on the Township needs in 2018.  These estimated quantities include various size poles ranging from 15 to 35 feet.  Generally, replacements are required due to vehicular accident damage and typically 100% of costs are recouped through the vehicle owners’ insurance company.  Funds are available through the Public Works Operating Budget. The bid amounts for comparable items are up significantly 48% versus the previous year due to increases in steel prices and changes in the manufacturing sector.
