Consider for recommendation to the Board of Commissioners approval to alter an existing vertical sign on the front facade, attach a pin-mounted Trek bicycle logo below it, and install new illuminated signage at the rear entrance facing the Township parking lot. The application also includes the removal of a sign on the rear facade and an awning on the front facade.

On June 5, 2018, the HARB recommended approval of the rear entrance signage as submitted.

The HARB considered a motion to recommend approval of the partial restoration of the vertical sign on the front of the building and removal of the bottom portion of that sign, and for the approval of the pin-mounted letters as submitted, citing Secretary of the Interior Standard 9. The motion failed in a 4-4 vote.

On June 6, 2018, the Building & Planning Committee directed staff to work with the applicant and their sign fabricator to recommend a solution that addresses the HARB's concerns.
