Consider for adoption a resolution supporting the request for grant funds from PennDOT’s Multimodal Fund (MTF) to construct pedestrian improvements at the Montgomery Avenue/Levering Mill Road/Old Lancaster Road intersection with the Township matching the grant by at least 30% of the total project cost.

RESOLUTION

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Township of Lower Merion of Montgomery County hereby requests a Multimodal Transportation Fund grant of $104,439 from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to be used for Merion-Cynwyd ADA and Pedestrian Crossing Improvements.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Applicant does hereby designate Ernie B. McNeely, Township Manager and Daniel S. Bernheim, President of the Board of Commissioners as the official(s) to execute all documents and agreements between the Township of Lower Merion and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to facilitate and assist in obtaining the requested grant.
