ITEM:  CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS - 9 East Lancaster Avenue, Ardmore, Ardmore Historic District, 17-27

Consider for recommendation to the Board of Commissioners approval of facade renovations, signs, and awnings including the following:  uncover four previously obscured storefront windows (including one that had been faced with horizontal vinyl siding), install two signs on each side of the corner entrance door, install vinyl window graphics, restore transoms that had been covered by Radio Shack’s box signs, repaint the façade and cornice, and install striped awnings.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Applicant appeared before the HARB in May and June for their space at 7 Station Road. They are now expanding into the former Radio Shack space on the corner of the same building, facing Lancaster Avenue.

 

On September 12, 2017 HARB recommended approval of the application as submitted, citing compliance with Standards 9 and 10.
