ITEM:  CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS - 47-65 CRICKET AVENUE, ARDMORE

Consider for recommendation to the Board of Commissioners a Certificate of Appropriateness to construct a 27,528 sq. ft. footprint, five-story, mixed-use building with concealed first floor and underground parking, first floor retail, and 77 residential rental units above at 47-65 Cricket Avenue, Ardmore, Ardmore Commericial District.  

 

On Tuesday, July 26, 2016, HARB recommended that the Board of Commissioners grant a Certificate of Appropriateness as submitted based on criteria contained in the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, 1995 STANDARDS FOR REHABILITATION criteria No. 10. Criteria considered by the HARB included but are not limited to: Massing, Street Wall, Continuity of wall surface, Façade composition, Rhythm/Pedestrian Experience, Materials & Details. The recommendation is also subject to the following additional provisions: 1) Each sheet of the drawings accompanying this application shall be so listed indicating sheet number, sheet title, and date; 2) Any proposed changes to this design (including visible mechanical equipment, such as louvres, grilles, etc.), whether lying inside of the Ardmore Historic District or not, and are visible from a public right-of-way and reflected on these documents, shall require a return to HARB to either confirm their insignificance or to seek HARB’s recommendation for approval for those proposed changes.
