Consider for recommendation to the Board of Commissioners a request to construct an addition onto the existing home. 

On January 23, 2017 the Historical Commission recommended approval of the design as shown on page A2.2 of the submission with a new side addition with siding above and veneer stone on the lower level. The door and shed hood shown on the front (Smith Drive-facing) elevation are to be replaced by a window. The applicant shall reuse existing shutters or shall match existing on the new addition with staff or a subcommittee to review details. Half-round gutters and round leaders shall be used in lieu of the K gutters shown. The right elevation porch shall be amended with either a deepening of the porch or shifting of the column and/or window to make a more suitable connection between porch and structure. Stone veneer, retaining wall material, siding, and final window and/or replacement windows to be determined by a site committee of a minimum of three members of the Commission. A final copy of the drawings shall be submitted with all annotations and changes recorded following the site visit. If the subcommittee and the applicant do not come to an agreement on these issues, the applicant may return to the full Commission for review.
