Consider for recommendation to the Board of Commissioners a request to install a group of three fabric fixed awnings on the front elevation of this storefront. The front of each awning would contain graphics identifying the business, and the west and east sides would have the address (“49 East”). |

On December 6, 2016 HARB recommended approval of the application, specifically the scheme shown in the color rendering of the front façade, subject to Secretary of the Interior’s Standards numbers 9 and 10. The motion includes the submission with corrected dimensions. HARB also recommended approval of the lettering as 6-inch, pin-mounted letters in a silver satin nickel finish, with the caveat that if the material described is not available, staff could approve a different color or size so long as it was not more than a difference of two inches. The number “49” shall be centered over the word “East.” The addition of any lettering on the west pilaster would require a return to the HARB. |
