Consider for recommendation to the Board of Commissioners the construction of a wall on the roof of the Locker Room Building to hide mechanical equipment, the removal of an existing door and roof canopy on the west facade of the Main Clubhouse, and the re-opening of a double door on the west façade of the Main Clubhouse. |

On Monday, November 28, 2016 the Historical Commission recommended approval as submitted the mechanical screen adjacent to the locker room building, with material to be dark green painted cementitious lap siding, and with the applicant to fine-tune the height of the front face of the wall in hopes that it could be reduced modestly, and to consider closing the notch on the left side away from the locker room building to eliminate light pass-through on that side. The Commission also recommended approval of the restoration of the entryway of the historic main building as shown and described in the drawings, with a request for a record set of drawings to be provided that clarify the language of matching existing materials and components in work, and also to provide detailed photographs of the existing construction to be matched.
